Nya Barnette was born in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and grew up in Southern New Hampshire until graduating from high school at age 16, moving to New York at 17, and to Northern Virginia at 18. She is now studying communications at University of Phoenix online.
Nya attended Montessori School herself from ages 10-13, and credits her Montessori education with her success as an adult. She loves to sing, and write music, and even has a song on iTunes she wrote with her father.
